Expert MCAT Tutoring Toronto
We have high standards for our MCAT tutors. First and foremost, we require that all of our tutors score within the 94th percentile or above on the exam, and were able to perform well in each section of the MCAT. We specialize in one-on-one MCAT tutoring, because we believe learning is subjective. Working with your tutor, you will develop new strategies and apply your method to real MCAT questions. Our tutors share the strategy they mastered while studying for the MCAT, in addition to going over all content.
Extended Payment Plans
Our prices for one-on-one MCAT test prep are more affordable than our competitors’ and we offer extended payment plans so all students have the opportunity to master the material of the MCAT.
Our Approach to Toronto MCAT Tutoring
Since learning is extremely nuanced, we start off by learning about each individual student’s experience studying for the MCAT. We want to understand our students’ history and struggles with the MCAT, since no two MCAT students are on the same page. Some of the information we seek includes:
-
1When did you begin your MCAT prep?
-
2Did you write the old MCAT?
-
3Have you written an official MCAT test before?
-
4Have you written a full-length MCAT practice test?
-
5How did you score on each section?
-
6Are you struggling with content?
-
7Are you struggling with strategy?
-
8What are your best days/times of availability to meet with an MCAT tutor?
-
9How frequently do you want to meet with your MCAT tutor?
-
10Have you registered for an upcoming MCAT test date?
After we learn about the student and her/his experience with the exam, our team then matches you with the best MCAT tutor who matches your availability and your specific MCAT needs.
Our Toronto MCAT tutoring takes a customized approach with every student. Our tutors create a unique study plan for each student, one that is tailored to the student’s strengths and areas of improvement. In addition, we provide free AAMC® test prep materials with all of our study packages.
We also offer small group MCAT tutoring. The groups are formed on an as-needed basis, so whether you are an individual looking to form a group, or a group of friends/classmates who want to save some money on MCAT prep, just contact us to form an MCAT study group.

Our Tutors are Superhuman
Sometime ago MCAT prep became a product, with huge companies focused on meager average score increases. One medical student was unsatisfied with the status quo and co-founded Tutor the People with the goal of personalizing MCAT prep based on the needs of the individual student, not the needs of a focus group. We hire tutors who not only receive top scores on the MCAT, but also have a passion and skill for teaching their students how to recreate their success on test day.

Toronto Ontario MCAT Tutoring: Beyond the exam
We provide application help and personal statement revision in addition to our exceptional 1-on-1 and group MCAT prep. We know how daunting the medical school application process can seem. Our Toronto Ontario MCAT prep helps students make sense of the overwhelming process of applying to medical school, and we can help you create a timeline and strategy for your application and extracurricular activities.
Medical Faculties in Ontario
Ontario–Canada’s most populous province– is filled with top-notch, extremely competitive medical schools. The University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, or U of T FoM, is one of the nation’s oldest medical schools and is renowned for the discovery of stem cells and insulin. It was ranked the top medical school in Canada, and the 6th in the world! As such, U of T FOM has particularly high standards for its applicants.
McMaster University’s medical school– Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine–accepts 3.8% of its applicants. While this may seem daunting, Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine only uses the MCAT CARS (verbal) section’s score as the MCAT component of their admissions determination, and students must score at least a 123 on this section. This program operates on a non-traditional, accelerated 3-year MD program. The school focuses on problem-based learning, and students work together in small groups.
Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry is the medical school of the University of Western Ontario. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada. Shulich emphasizes a patient-centered approach to medicine. Medical students are introduced to clinical methods within the first few weeks of school. Shulich has produced distinguished alumnae, such as Margaret Chan, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Ian McWhinney: “the Father of Family Medicine,” who discovered Barr bodies Murray Barr.
The University of Ottawa (U of O) Faculty of Medicine is the only bilingual medical faculty in Canada, and it offers medical studies in both French and English. U of O Faculty of Medicine also requires applicants to be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.
Practice Makes Perfect!
Many students feel confident in the content of the MCAT, but struggle with strategy and overall maintaining their cool during the 7 hour 45-minute exam. Successfully applying this scientific and medical knowledge to a standardized test is extremely complex. In addition to providing some of the best MCAT prep, we make sure that every student is practicing on AAMC questions. It is crucial that students repeat and practice MCAT sample questions throughout their prep. Our tutors provide students with helpful tricks and strategies for taking the computer-based, standardized MCAT exam.
