    Succeed

The NCLEX, short for the National Council Licensure Examination, is a computer-based test that is required for licensing all prospective nurses. All candidates for the NCLEX must have have completing either a two year degree or a four year degree. The difficulty of the questions increase or decrease depending on previous answers. If proficiency in nursing is not proven, the test will end. It must be retaken at a later date. The test is based on probability and requires a 0.00 to pass, meaning that a 50% is passing. It costs $200 to take and is allowed to be taken up to eight times in year, mandating that the students wait forty-five days between attempts. With our customized approach to NCLEX prep and NCLEX tutoring, we match you with tutors who have scored in the top 10% so that you can be as confident and self assured as you possibly can in front of that computer.

    Strategize

The NCLEX is a non-biased critical thinking questionnaire that implores candidates to utilize all of their nursing aptitude to solve pertinent medical questions. Some questions, for example, demand that prospective nurses understand generic names for medications as well as their uses and solve a medical dilemma with that knowledge. The candidates are alloted five hours to complete up to 265 questions. The test will end if an exorbitant number is missed before that. In order to take the test, candidates must apply with the Board of Nurses for their license and pay the company Pearson, which administers the test.

Success Stories
Hi, I recently used this program for the NCLEX and passed!! I had previously experienced a ton of difficulty overcoming this test, and I knew that this time around I needed to do something different. I utilized this tutoring service and it was probably the best decision I made. My tutor, Aaron, was incredibly helpful and patient, flexible with time, and directed lessons to fit my needs. Each lesson felt personalized as he focused on my weak points. We set realistic goals for the week, and continued to alter the study schedule if needed. Customer service was also great, as responses were prompt and direct. I'd recommend this service to anyone, and would likely use it again if I decide to upgrade in the future! Thanks!!

Tutor the People believes in an evidence-based approach. Much like the Nightingale Pledge, we strive to “raise the standards and the prestige” of NCLEX tutoring. We have found that the best tutors are the ones who get to know their students. We excel in getting to know the student’s individual learning style, their strengths and weaknesses in academia, and their unique personalities. Then we match them with an NCLEX tutor who is best suited for the job at hand. Our individual and highly personalized approach has a proven success. We believe it will work for you too. Let us be your go-to for NCLEX preparation

The NCLEX is required for the licensing of all nurses- whether they are BSN’s or RN’s. It must be completed upon graduation to begin any nursing career. It is unlike typical university tests as it is comparative, meaning the questions ask the test-takers to compare different nursing approaches and choose the best one. The test uses probability to determine what question to ask next. The computer is programmed to ask questions that the student has a 50% chance of correctly answering. When a student answers one standardized question correctly, the difficulty increases. If they answer it incorrectly, the difficulty decreases. Graduates will sit at a testing center and complete questions that test their medical knowledge to a set standard. This is known as the computerized adaptive testing module. It is multiple choice for the most part, but more similar to other types of medical testing like the MCAT than standardized testing like the SAT. One of the biggest challenges recent graduates face with their NCLEX preparation is the lack of understanding of the format. At Tutor the People, we understand computerized adaptive testing like the back of our hands and we match you with a tutor who has already excelled in the NCLEX, to guide you through any challenges that could arise.

  • Reduction of Risk Potential

  • Physiological Adaptation

The test can include up to 265 questions, but will end if enough questions are missed. The passing standard is 0.00 and is in terms of probability, meaning that candidates must prove a 50 percent proficiency.

Preparing for a career defining licensing exam is stressful, to say the least. Students tend to put so much pressure on themselves to pass that they don’t notice how much pressure they are already under just to sustain prolonged studying. This is why self care during study time is vital. Studying and all the assorted NCLEX preparation a student must do is like an alternate dimension. Students can get mentally exhausted and feel a bit out of touch with reality and unlike themselves as the hours and days of studying drone on. Our advice with NCLEX preparation is to come back to earth and take a break, call a friend, watch some television. Self-care is incredibly important for success. Have a protein-rich snack to improve focus and memory. Get some exercise and revitalize your body. Contrary to popular belief, frequent breaks greatly improve work ethic. If you don’t do it for you, do it for the NCLEX and your dream career. Tutor the People is there for you in those grueling study sessions. We know how to succeed on the NCLEX, our tutors already have. Meeting with an NCLEX tutor is not the grueling and laborious study session that students fear. We know what to study. We know how to study. We match you with people you enjoy spending time with. We can do it together!
