Our Approach to ACT Prep
The ACT (originally an abbreviation of American College Testing) is a standardized test used to assess college readiness for high school achievement and college admissions in the United States.
When studying alongside our tutors for 1-on-1 preparation, the pair creates a flexible and fluid study plan that focuses on the student’s strengths to supplement their areas of improvement. Depending on the student’s schedule, the tutor can meet as often as daily, either online or in-person at the student’s location of choice. The tutors present their proven methods and help you create the best strategy that works for your needs. In addition, the pair studies the body of the test- from the backbone of the language to the multiple choice, reasoning and elimination.
In order to deliver a personalized experience, we start out by learning about our students. In order to grasp your history with the ACT, we ask the following questions:
-
1What year are you in school?
-
2Are you just beginning your ACT prep?
-
3Have you taken the ACT before?
-
4How did you score on each section?
-
5Are you struggling with content?
-
6Are you struggling with strategy?
-
7What is your target score?
-
8What are your best days/times of availability to meet with a tutor?
-
9Have you registered for an upcoming test date?
-
10When would you like to begin?
Performance on the ACT could determine whether or not you are able to gain admission to your dream college. Using our personalized ACT tutoring, we can help you strategize and achieve your best potential on the ACT.
