Our approach to private GRE tutoring:
We start off by learning as much about our students as possible. In order to provide you with a personalized GRE prep course, it is important that we understand your history with the GRE. Some of these factors include:
1How long have you been studying for the GRE, or are you just beginning?
2Have you taken the official GRE® exam before?
3Have you taken a practice GRE test?
4What did you score?
5Do you need help with every section of the GRE, or do you want your GRE prep course to focus on certain sections/problem types?
6Are you struggling with content?
7Are you struggling with strategy and time management?
8Where are you located, and what are your best days/times to meet with a tutor?
9Do you prefer online or in-person meeting? (Note: you can use both options interchangeably)
10What is your deadline, and have you registered for an upcoming test date?
After learning about our students and their unique needs, we then match the students with a private GRE tutor who best meets their needs, location preference, and scheduling availability. We approach GRE test prep from a wholesome perspective. The first step is getting to know the student. Then we match the student with a tutor who works best with their learning style/personality. Then the tutor offers expert GRE study and content learning skills. The tutor will also go over test-taking skills, strategy, and time management.
We also offer private GRE tutoring in small groups, which focuses on individual needs, while applying each lesson to the group as a whole. Every lesson will focus on universal GRE strategy, while also addressing individual group members’ needs. It is our mission to provide the best GRE preparation.
We encourage all students to take a practice test as a diagnostic before their first meeting. This way, tutors can analyze your results and pinpoint exactly where you need to focus your studies and what you need to improve.
In addition to providing the best GRE private tutoring, we also offer application help and personal statement revision. We understand that the graduate application process is a rigorous one. Our professional application staff can help you ensure that you have a strong application, by encouraging you to find relevant extracurricular activities, leadership experiences, a strong personal statement, and many other factors. We are here to help you get into your graduate program of choice!
The Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) tests the student’s critical thinking skills in preparation for most graduate degree programs in the USA. This test can be a determinant for your advanced degree and for setting yourself up for your professional career. Depending on the graduate program, a good GRE score can be the deciding factor when it comes to your acceptance. Meanwhile, other programs treat the GRE score as less of a central factor and more as a part of standard protocol. To determine which is the case for your program, read each school’s respective application requirements.
