Education: North Carolina State University, B.S. Biomedical Engineering (Bioinstrumentation); University of Cincinnati, MD/PhD Candidate, Medical Scientist Training Program
Lives in Cincinnati, OH, USA
Zach graduated from NC State University in 2018 with a degree in biomedical engineering. He is currently a first-year medical student in the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Cincinnati. In preparing for medical school, Zach scored in the top 5% of test takers for the MCAT in 2017.
During his time at NC State, Zach served as a peer tutor for the University Tutorial Center, assisting students with coursework across 3 different physics classes. Additionally, he served as a teaching assistant in the biomedical engineering department for 3 semesters, guiding students through laboratory experiments in Biomedical Electronics and Human Physiology for Engineers. Through these experiences, Zach has developed a passion and a skill set capable of helping others reach their full potential.
Over the next 8 years, he plans to further his undergraduate studies by pursuing a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in addition to an M.D., and he hopes to one-day assist in bridging the gap between engineering and medicine as a physician-scientist.
