Sydney graduated summa cum laude from Middlebury College with a major in Chemistry and minor in Mathematics. After graduating, she took 10 weeks to backpack through Latin America! She now works as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. She plans to eventually pursue a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry.

Sydney has been tutoring since high school and has worked with students in a breadth of subjects. In college, she became a TA for science and math classes and fell in love with getting other people excited about STEM. She believes that students have been told for too long that they “just don’t have a math brain” or “aren’t a good test taker” and that, in fact, with the right instruction and attitude, everyone has the potential to succeed in any subject or at any test!

When not in her lab or tutoring, Sydney can be found skiing, hiking, developing yummy vegan and vegetarian recipes in her kitchen or planning her next international adventure!
