Rachel graduated from Georgetown University in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Science and a minor in Math. She took the MCAT in August 2015, meaning she was among the first wave of test-takers to sit for the new exam. She scored a 518 on the exam her first try, placing her in the 97th percentile of all test takers.

During her gap year, she is applying to medical school and working as a volunteer with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Philadelphia. Her role with JVC involves working at Women Against Abuse, a shelter for women experiencing intimate partner violence.

Rachel has experience tutoring students of all ages, from elementary school students all the way through college students. She loves challenging students to view intelligence not as a fixed, innate characteristic, but a dynamic muscle that strengthens with use!

In her spare time, Rachel loves to be outside, play with dogs, and watch/read anything by Neil deGrasse Tyson.
