Education: BA, Carleton College, Cinema and Media Studies; MFA, Northwestern’s School of Radio, Television, and Film
Lives in Evanston, IL, United States
Peter graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College in 2014 with a degree in Cinema and Media Studies. After working in documentary production for over a year he took the GRE and scored a 333, placing in the 90th percentile for both the quantitative and verbal sections. He gained admittance to several competitive graduate programs and is beginning an MFA program in hybrid documentary media at Northwestern’s School of Radio, Television, and Film in the fall.
After graduating early from Carleton he went to work with Field Productions, a Minnesota-based documentary production company, to assist in post-production on their project about farm animal welfare. After learning more than he ever thought was possible about food and where it comes from at Field Productions, he began working as a tutor and applying to graduate school to further his study of nonfiction film production.
His passion for films that are unique and illuminate subjects in innovative ways ignites his passion for teaching, where the name of the game is to work with learners to find an approach that works for them. He has tutored in both the SAT and the GRE.
He loves watching movies, following and playing sports, especially football, rugby, and running, and, when possible, taking the path less traveled, as long as there aren’t too many mosquitoes.
