Noelle grew up in Manila, Philippines, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (high honors) in Psychology from the University of the Philippines. She then moved to the United States and started working with the youth population as a childcare counselor at the Milestone House, Inc. and more recently as a mentor for children with developmental disabilities. She lived in Indianapolis, IN and San Diego, CA before moving to New York City to pursue a Master’s degree at NYU. She is currently writing her thesis, and maintaining her 4.0 GPA.
Noelle is also a teaching assistant for Developmental Psychology and a research assistant in the Social Psychology Department. She has participated in conventions and poster sessions and most recently won Third Place for Best Poster at the NYU MA Research Conference. As an instructor, Noelle believes that there is an optimal approach to teaching that consists of the teacher assessing which level the student can learn best and instructing at this maximal level. She plans to pursue a doctoral degree in developmental psychology to further her training both as an educator and researcher. Noelle enjoys snorkeling, scuba diving, and rock-climbing in her spare time.
