Education: Magna Cum Laude from Marist College in 2009 with a BS in Bio-Medical Sciences and a minor in Chemistry

Nick graduated from Magna Cum Laude from Marist College in 2009 with a BS in Bio-Medical Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. He then worked for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center as a Medical Technologist in their Clinical Microbiology Lab. Nick then moved onto DePaul University, where in 2012 he earned an MA in Biology while graduating with distinction. At DePaul Nick served as a teaching assistant for the Biology Department and served in this role for General Biology, Microbiology, Comparative Anatomy and Anatomy and Physiology.

At DePaul, Nick wrote his thesis on the relationship between insulin and the central nervous system, particularly pertaining to insulin’s role in cognition. After DePaul, Nick was hired by the Biology Department at Barnard College where he teaches General Biology Lab and Microbiology Lab. Nick believes that the key to a student raising their grades is focusing on “how a student learns” and then catering studying strategies to that learning style.
