Mary Jean is a North Carolina Certified Public Accountant with a Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University (NCCU). She is also a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

Mary Jean earned her JD while working full time. While at NCCU, Mary Jean was a staff editor on the law review and was published in the spring 2015 law journal. She also volunteered as a North Carolina guardian ad litem, serving and representing children in the court system.

Currently, Mary Jean is a Lead Technology Manager at the Association for International Certified
Professional Accountants (AICPA) where she supports the Information Management & Technology Assurance Section (IMTA), as well as the IMTA executive committee. Prior to the AICPA, she worked at the University of North Carolina Health Care System and Duke University Health Care System.

Mary Jean believes balance and perseverance are the keys to success. In her free time, Mary Jean enjoys spinning, yoga, gardening, reading, and the beach.
