Education: Southern Illinois University, BS in Accounting
Lives in Katy, TX, USA
Kristina graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2008 with a degree in Accounting. After graduating, she was able to successfully pass the CPA exam while working full time and raising her two-year-old daughter. Despite the time constraints faced as a single mom with a full-time job, she was able to excel on the exam, averaging an 87% on the four exams. She says scoring a 92% on the FAR section is still, to this day, one of her greatest accomplishments. Kristina wants to help all students realize that they, too can pass the exam, regardless of what obstacles may be in their way.
Today, Kristina lives in Katy, Texas with her husband and three children. Her most recent endeavor was founding a non-profit organization that helped homeowners rebuild after the devastating impact Hurricane Harvey had on the greater Houston area. Within 6 months, this organization was successful in helping over 75 homeowners rebuild their homes and lives.
Her strengths as a tutor include helping others effectively manage their time, increase their confidence, and reduce their stress and anxiety. She believes if she was able to pass, then even those who have given up hope will come to believe that they can and will pass too.
Her hobbies today include chasing around her toddlers, embracing the challenges that come with raising her teenage daughter, meditating, and using her skills as a CPA to build successful companies. Kristina is comfortable teaching all four CPA sections: REG, AUD, FAR, and BEC.
