We Start with the Basics
We have found that every MCAT student is unique in their foundation of knowledge. In order to deliver a completely customized MCAT prep experience, we start out by diagnosing the student’s standing on the MCAT. We want our private MCAT tutors to be effective at pinpointing your struggles. In order to accommodate that, we start out by asking some fundamental questions:
-
1When did you begin your MCAT prep?
-
2Did you study for the old MCAT?
-
3Have you taken an official AAMC exam before?
-
4Have you taken an MCAT practice test? If so, which one?
-
5How did you score on each section?
-
6Are you struggling with content?
-
7Are you struggling with strategy?
-
8What is your availability like to work with an Indianapolis MCAT tutor?
-
9Do you prefer in-person or online tutoring?
-
10Have you registered for an upcoming MCAT test date?

Our Tutors are Superhuman
Sometime ago MCAT tutoring became a product, with huge companies focused on meager average score increases. One medical student was unsatisfied with the status quo and co-founded Tutor the People with the goal of personalizing MCAT test prep based on the needs of the individual student, not the needs of a focus group. We hire tutors who not only received top scores on the MCAT, but also have a passion and skill for teaching their students how to recreate their success on test day.

One on One MCAT Tutoring in Indianapolis
It is no doubt that students benefit from a customized, one on one approach to learning. When studying for a test as difficult as the MCAT, the one on one approach is especially crucial. Students who approach their prep in a more traditional, classroom setting, often obtain a general understanding of the content covered on the exam but are deprived of the focus needed to delve into the complex areas of the material. Because the MCAT is tested on such specific concepts piled on top of fundamental areas in science, it is crucial that students grasp the full bases of each science, before learning the intricacies that build upon them. Our Indianapolis MCAT tutors can help students no matter what page they are on. Maybe a premed is a stellar student, but never fully understood the role of amino acids in high school chemistry. Working with an Indianapolis MCAT tutor one on one, the pre med and the tutor can diagnose exactly in which areas of the exam the student is struggling most, then develop a carefully curated study schedule around the student’s strengths and areas of weakness.
