The section measures the student’s ability to reason quantitatively, solve quantitative problems and interpret graphic data. The multiple choice in this section consist of two types of questions: Data Sufficiency and Problem Solving.
Problem Solving Questions:
- Reason quantitatively, solve quantitative problems and interpret graphic data
- Understand problems involving arithmetic, elementary algebra and basic concepts of geometry
- Evaluate the amount of information needed to solve quantitative problems
Data Sufficiency Questions:
- Analyze a quantitative problem
- Recognize which information is relevant
- Determine at which point there is sufficient information to solve a problem
Note: You are not allowed to use a calculator on the GMAT, so our tutors will teach you mental math tricks and shortcuts to help you save time!
