CPA FAR Tutoring (Financial Accounting and Reporting)
CPA’s FAR section is often argued to be the longest and most difficult section. FAR tests the skills and knowledge that a newly licensed CPA must demonstrate in the financial accounting and reporting frameworks used by business entities (public and nonpublic), not-for-profit entities and state and local government entities. As such, the following accounting and reporting frameworks are tested in this section:
Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (U.S. SEC)
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)
International Accounting Standards Board (IASB)
Our CPA tutors will help students develop the skills to:
1Develop a global study plan to work through all content covered on this section
2Establish the independent studying endurance required
3Practice T-accounts and journal entries
4Leverage various memorization tools and mnemonics
The Breakdown of FAR:
Like all other CPA sections, the FAR appointment time is 4.5 hours. The exam is broken down into five testlets:
1. 33 Multiple Choice Questions
2. 33 Multiple Choice Questions
