University of California in San Diego
Located in San Diego, near the pacific ocean, UC San Diego is one of the major public research universities in California. Established in 1960, UC San Diego is now considered a “Public Ivy”, that is, a top research university outside the traditional Ivy League. University of California, Davis
Founded in 1905, UC Davis is a public, comprehensive research university located in Davis, California, about 15 miles west of Sacramento. Originally intended as an agricultural college, it is a large campus, spread out over 5,000 acres of land to accommodate its 35,000 students, about 27,000 of which are undergraduates. San Diego City College was established in 1914 to provide post-secondary education to area residents. The major community college in the San Diego area, the college now has an enrollment of 16,000 students. The college is located in Downtown San Diego, and offers over 100 majors, including professional training in alcohol and drug abuse counseling, engineering and electronics, manufacturing, cosmetology, small business operation, and nursing.
